Billericay travelled the long journey of 328 miles down to Truro, Cornwall in need of a vital 3 points after the loss earlier in the week, 5-0 to Eastleigh.
The Blues had made 3 new signings earlier this week to help boost the squad; Dean McDonald, the attacking Midfielder who used to play for Arsenal Youth, Ipswich and Gillingham, Richard Hall: a promising full-back who has progressed through the Blues Under 18's system and Eljay Worrell, a defender who has previously been with Ryman clubs Tilbury and more recently AFC Sudbury with McDonald making the subs bench for this vital game.
Billericay made the perfect start in the 5th Minute when Jay May scored his 1st of the day to put the blues 1-0 up, the game was an ongoing midfield battle in the early stages and on the 25th Minute Billericays Charlie Taylor was booked for dissent and a minute later he was sent of for a 2nd bookable offence so the blues were down to 10 men , could they secure the win as they went in at HT 1-0 to the good!
The second half the blues again struck early with Jay May's 2nd of the day in the 48th Minute, a superb finish to put the blues 2-0 up, Truro were going to have to dig deep now to try and come back against the 10 men, They pressurised the blues and finally it paid off when Martin Watts drew one back for the home side on 55 Minutes, this was anyone's game now.
Jay May took up the challenge for the blues and scored his Hat-Trick on the 68th Minute for a fully deserved 3-1 lead and then he scored again in the 78 Minute to wrap the game up for Billericay and make it 4-1 to the away side, Truro scored a consolation goal in the 79th Minute through Keifer Moore but the blues held out the final 11 Minutes to secure a much needed victory, 4-2 to the blues, sending the travelling fans home very happy back to the Lodge.
