Marjorie Goodey, 91, resident at Anisha Grange Care Home with pygmy goat

Baby pygmy goats and chicks visited a Billericay care home on Wednesday afternoon to give residents the chance to hold them and find out more about the animals.

Residents and relatives at Anisha Grange Care Home, on Outwood Common Road, handled and bottle-fed the wonderful creatures in an animal therapy session organised by Blackwater Alpacas and Pygmy Goats.

Lifestyles Assistant at Anisha Grange, Rachel Scott said:

“The residents thoroughly enjoyed learning about the animals and interacting with the seven-month-old pygmy goats and eight-day-old chicks. We can’t wait for their next visit!”
