Replica aircraft from the First World War will be on display at a commemorative show to mark the war’s centenary.
Tickets go on sale today for one of the largest First World War commemoration events in the country.
The event will be one of only four in the UK, and the only one in Essex to have a full team of all nine replica aircraft from the Great War.
They have teamed up with Show Maries Aerodrome, Europe’s only surviving Great War aerodrome, to bring in the Great War Display Team to mark the role of the Royal Flying Corp in the First World War.
It takes place at Barleylands Showground, Billericay, and will include a number of bi-planes and tri-planes, which will be gracing the skies over Barleylands, as well as Basildon, Billericay and Wickford areas.

The display forms part of the South Essex Armed Forces Day 2014 event, on June 21 and 22.
Organised by the Essex Military Support Association, the two-day extravaganza will include Armed Forces organisations from across Essex.
The association has also teamed up with John Delaney and Thomas Curtis, who are launching the Southend Airshow and Military Festival in September.
Tickets for the First WorldWar commemoration cost £10 per adult, £3.50 for under 16s, while under fives are free.
