A first half brace from Isaac Layne helped Billericay Town to a 2-0 win at Met Police.

Earlier in the day the match, which was rearranged from Saturday, had passed a pitch inspection and the Blues took full advantage as Layne opened the scoring on eight minutes.

He netted his second five minutes before half-time.

Met Police brought on Ryan James two minutes into the second half but eight minutes later he was heading back to the changing rooms after being sent off.

The win, the Blues second in a row, leaves the club 14th in the Ryman League Premier Division table.
