Little Redback team

Report by Redbacks Baseball & Softball: On a gloroious Saturday afternoon in central London, the Little Redbacks recorded wins number two and three of 2014 against the perennial champions London Mets.

The two teams of boys and girls aged 10 and under showcased great skill as well as the ever-present enthusiasm as they took part in the most competitive games the two sides have played to date.

In the first match, Lucas Thomas was almost untouchable on the mound for the Redbacks as his control, and the defence behind him, stifled the dangerous Mets bats.

After completing the first win, Meikle turned to Evan Preissler to start the pitching before Preston Taylor took over. Between them they prevented the Mets gaining any momentum, with Taylor in particular impressing with a fantastic catch and throw that almost got two outs.
