An event entitled 'Mummy's Charity Ball' held at Stock Brook Country Club raised over £18,000 for Action Against Cancer charities and Saint Francis Hospice.
Over 220 people bought tickets and took part in a raffle and auction organised by Elizabeth Wenborn who is currently battling Secondary Breast Cancer.
Aged just 34 when diagnosed in April 2012, Elizabeth is wife to Jay and mother to James (8) and Juliet (5).

The event on Friday, 14th November 2014 had over 220 people in attendance and raised money for two charities, the first through ticket sales raised £3,053 for Action Against Cancer and the second through Raffle & Auction sales raised approx. £15,000 for Saint Francis Hospice. Elizabeth attends Saint Francis Hospice Day Therapy Unit on a weekly basis and these funds will help them enormously.
A number of local Billericay businesses provided prizes for the auction including: Essex Cricket Club, Painted by Elizabeth, Stock Brook Golf and Country Club, Buttsbury Infant School, Roseville Flooring, Coleby's Jewellers, WPR Beauty Spa and Cosmetic, The Hoop, Studio 360 Fitness, Alison Stiff Golf Pro, Waitrose Billericay, Billericay Barber Shop, The Ivory Rooms, Hanna's Beauty Room, Allshapes, Lauras Lashes, Krunchy Karrot, Toni & Guy, N Shelley, Cookshop, Billericay Brewery.
