After a two-month break following the end of the summer season, Redbacks Baseball & Softball returns to training this Friday (21 November) at Chelmer Valley High School.
The club's preparations for the 2015 season begin in earnest as they hope to build on a year in which the senior teams laid the foundations for a successful few years.
Training begins at 8pm and runs until 10pm.

Having seen the guys come on during the summer, I anticipate even more success in 2015. Our first team made the playoffs and narrowly missed out on a national finals appearance, while the second team were almost untouchable when people were back from injury. With a couple of additions to both sides, I think we can certainly challenge again for the top positions. Hopefully the young players coming through will add depth and energy to the sides and we can't wait to get them involved.[/quote]
The training is the first of three scheduled for senior players before Christmas, with the next session on Sunday 7 December at Chelmsford Sports and Athletics Centre (4-6pm) before returning again to Chelmer Valley High School on Friday 12 December.
New players do not need to bring their own equipment, as all is provided for new players. Training will include batting, fielding and throwing drills as well as pitching practice with instruction from the club's qualified and experienced coaching staff on hand.
Junior training for players aged 4-16 starts on Sunday 30 November at James Hornsby School in Laindon for the fifth consecutive season.
