Article by Joe Sturdy, Brentwood Gazette: Father Christmas pulled on his snow boots and traditional red coat to take a flight to Barleylands Farm on Monday.
Along with his toy-making elves, he landed at the farm on his traditional wooden sleigh to check the progress of his grotto.
From November 29 until Christmas Eve, he will greet hundreds of eager and excited children. And it's not only the man who knows when you're sleeping who seems to be excited about the most wonderful time of the year.

Father Christmas taking time out from his busy schedule to meet all the girls and boys always makes it so magical, and this year we're going to have extra snow-themed fun. Our special visitors gave us their official seal of approval today so we're all set.[/quote]
Children will be greeted by an elf before lining up to head into the grotto, where they can dress up the farm's snowmen in their finest white clothes and take a picture at the sleigh with their family, before meeting Father Christmas himself.
And after their exciting meeting, they can go into the elves' workshop and select a toy as an early Christmas present, and even build a snowman photo frame in a special craft session.
Included in the ticket is the normal park with animals too, so after your dose of festive fun, you can bottle-feed lambs, meet and see birds of prey, along with enjoying tractor and train rides.
