An investment of £150,000 will be made into the Billericay Pool in the next financial year.
The money will be spent on new pool hall flooring and improvements to changing facilities. The investment follows the £2.4m project to refurbish Wickford swimming pool which will be completed in the Autumn and the opening of the £38m Sporting Village in April 2011.

“Add to that our other great facilities like the Towngate Theatre and Wat Tyler Country Park and the Borough really is blessed with great facilities for residents and visitors.
“I am delighted that we are making this investment that we will claim back anyway through a pay back agreement with the leaseholder.”
The investment was approved at Full Council on Thursday 20th February as part of a report on budget and council tax setting for 2014/15.
