Article by Joe Sturdy: The body of a horse was discovered in a car park of a paintballing centre near Billericay – leading the RSPCA to appeal for information.
The dead piebald filly was discovered at a secluded spot in Heath Road, Ramsden Heath, Billericay on Monday (January 26) by an employee coming to work.
It is believed the body was likely to have been dumped some time overnight on Sunday 26 January.
It is not known how the horse died, but there were no obvious signs of injury or illness.
She was not microchipped and there is no CCTV or any residential buildings near the incident location to try and find out what happened.
