Article by Brentwood Gazette: Reigning Radical European Masters champion Bradley Smith is joining the Ginetta Supercup for this season, having secured a late deal after plans to graduate into LMP3 Sports Prototypes fell through.
The Billericay ace, who has won titles in the Radical Clubmans Cup, Radical SR3 Challenge and Radical European Masters over the past three seasons was due to race one of the brand-new Ginetta LMP3 cars for Greaves Motorsport.

But we found out last month that their project had been put on hold for a year.
A last-minute deal with Ginetta will now see Smith on the Supercup grid for the opening rounds at Brands Hatch in two weeks with a G55 run by father Mike's Mectech Motorsport.
The 24-year-old had his first run in a G55 at the Ginetta media day at Silverstone. "I did a few laps on my own and then did passenger rides," he said.

Plus, I will be racing at Rockingham, Thruxton, Croft and Knockhill for the first time.
Smith is unlikely to have any time to test his new mount before the opening races, but is impressed with the experience so far.

I just need to concentrate on myself and getting familiar with the car. A win at Brands would be great but I would be happy with a top six in the first two and a podium in the third race, so long as we progress during the weekend. The car is nice to drive, responsive, but having less aero and enclosed in a car, of course, is new for me. There is a lot to learn but I am looking forward to the challenge and have confidence that we will succeed.
