A Police investigation has begun after a 12 year old boy was attacked on Friday 22nd June.
The Police have released an image of the assailant which the boy managed to take on his mobile phone in the hope someone can help identify him.
Three boys were walking through an alleyway off Arlington Way just after 5.30pm when they were approached by a man who verbally abused them before picking up a 12-year-old boy by the throat and slamming him against a lamppost. He then walked off.

The man is described as white and in his 40s. He spoke with a Welsh or Irish accent, was wearing a black suit and has hair that stands up at the front.
The 12-year-old boy did not require any medical treatment.
Anyone with information in connection with this assault is urged to contact investigating officers at Basildon police station on 101
