It is very much a family event, so we get huge groups of families having fun with the youngsters dancing by the stage. We were very fortunate with the weather and everybody just seemed to have such a good time.[/quote]
Running from 4.30 to 7pm, the music took centre stage with performances from returning acts Nimrod Margalit and his band and The Daisy Bowlers, a trio consisting of Debbie Bines on the banjo, Dave Cooke playing guitar and keyboard and Heather Simmons on the double bass, performing songs taken from the 1920s and 30s.
New acts also made their debut in the form of The Law, the house band at The Railway pub in Billericay, and singer-songwriter Drew-Levi.
