Work will take place to fix the clock outside St. Mary Magdalen Church in Billericay on Thursday 1st December after the timepiece began running slow.
Repairs will be made during a lane closure in the High Street which starts at 9:30 and is expected to last less than a day. Once repairs are complete, the road will fully reopen and the clock will continue to provide visitors to Billericay High Street with the correct time.
Some disruption to road users is possible throughout the works so please leave additional time in which to make your journey.
The clock on St Mary Magdalen Church was originally installed in 1897 and was erected to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.
