Article by Tommy Wathen: Christmas is coming! That means Christmas lights events, the famous Coca-Cola truck and of course Essex's Christmas santa sleigh tour.
Another thing to look forward to is when the various rotary clubs around Essex dust off their Santa Sleighs and head round the streets to meet the local residents.
In 2017, it has already been confirmed that Santa sleigh’s will be spotted in Chelmsford, Brentwood, Basildon, Billericay, Harlow and more.
As for Billericay, there are four confirmed dates over two weekends, when local residents will hear the sound of Christmas songs playing from the Santa Sleighs on Essex roads.
Each day, the Santa Sleigh will be out on the streets of Billericay for two hours – between 5pm and 7pm on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
On Saturday, December 9, the Santa Sleigh will be in the Western Road area between the junction for the A129 London Road and the crossroads with the B1007 High Street and Norsey Road.
The next day, on Sunday, December 10, the Santa Sleigh will head toward the Noak Bridge area of Billericay on their 2017 tour.
For the third trip out into Billericay, on Saturday, December 16, the Santa Sleigh will visit the Birds Estate area of Billericay, before making their final trip on Sunday, December 17, to Ramsden Heath.
