Article by The Echo: Fire crews were called to the scene of a road accident after a car skidded on ice, mounted a pavement and landed on top of a gas regulator in a garden.
One fire engine was called to the incident happened in Crays Hill, Billericay, today at 12.53pm.
The crew worked on scene for almost two hours and deemed the scene to be safe by 2.40pm.
Watch Manager Sean Norris said:
"Although no one was trapped, the car recovery company were concerned about moving the car and dislodging the regulator further. Our crew worked alongside the National Grid to isolate the gas regulator, remove the car and ensure the scene was safe."
