Billericay man stabbed seven times in 4am attack

Article by Tom Dare: Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed seven times in Billericay in the early hours of Monday morning (December 5).

A man in his 20s was making his way along Allysum Walk at around 4am this morning (December 5) when someone approached him from behind.

The attacker then grabbed the man's shirt collar and pulled him backwards, assaulting him, before fleeing after the victim fought back.

The victim was left with seven injuries and police officers believe these were inflicted with a knife.

Of these, five were to his face, a deep laceration was made to his shoulder which required stitches, and the man also suffered a laceration to his chest.

Anyone who has any information or saw someone acting suspiciously in the Allysum Walk and Rosebury Avenue areas are asked to contact Dc Nicholas May at Basildon Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
