Emergency services rush to Billericay to free man with arm trapped between skip and wall

Article by Louise Lazell: Police and paramedics rushed to free a man who had trapped his arm between a skip and a wall this morning (3 July 2020).

Essex Police said officers were called to The Copse in Billericay this morning at 7.30am.

Crews from both Brentwood and Billericay turned up to the incident to help free the man.


They found him at the scene with his arm trapped between a skip and a wall.

It took nearly an hour to release the man - finally freeing him at 8.19am and left in the care of the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said:

"We were called to The Copse, Billericay, today at 7.30am. Crews from Brentwood and Billericay attended and found a man whose arm was trapped between a skip and a wall. He was released at 8.19am and left in the care of the Ambulance Service."

An Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

"An Ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, the Hazard Area Response Team and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended an industrial machinery accident at a property in Billericay. The patient was transported to Basildon & Thurrock Hospital.”
