Woman grabbed by two men who sexually assaulted her in a Billericay street

Article by Paige Ingram: Essex Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Billericay.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was walking along Stock Road in the direction of the train station when the horrific incident happened.

At around 3.10am on Friday, June 5, she was grabbed from behind by two men, who then sexually assaulted her in the street.

Fortunately, she managed to kick the men and run to safety at the nearby BP petrol station.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have information that could help with their investigation to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said:

"We have been reviewing CCTV and making enquiries, and would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened. The description we have been given is that one man wore a white top and the other a black top."
